Willoughby Elliott's career as an artist spans over forty years.
His work evolved through a decade spent as a non-objective
painter, to the medium of screen printing and once again to
painting. This evolutionary shift brought about a return to
recognizable shapes and forms. His current work explores the
idiom of landscape viewed through the lens of an abstract artist
with a bend toward the expressive and the spiritual. The New
Bedford Art Museum is proud to be able to share Mr. Elliott’s
work with the people of New Bedford and the Southcoast.
